Length: 1.25 Inch; Width: 1 Inch. A well done carved cameo of the 3 graces. I rate condition as good. It has some points off for tarnish on the back. please see image. Now you can probably clean that up, but I generally don't touch antiques. The front however is in excellent condition in terms of the metal and shell. Locking clasp on the bar pin. It also has a fold down bail on the back where you could use as a pendant if you wished. This would make an excellent gift comes in a gift box. The 3 graces were the daughters of Greek gods. They were associated with the Muses, and were attendants of Aphrodite. They lived on Mount Olympus, where they would host gatherings to entertain the Olympian gods and goddesses, singing and dancing to Apollo’s lyre. The names of the Graces vary from source to source, as do the qualities that they represented. Commonly, they are known as Aglaea (Beauty/Splendour/Brightness/Elegance), Euphrosyne (Good Cheer/Mirth/Joyfulness) and Thalia (Youth/Beauty/Bloom/Festivities).
