Antique Large Carved Italian Shell Cameo Landscape Brooch Gold Tone shell Pin F267

Fairly Large hand carved Italian cameo. Looks like a castle or chateau besides a river. The setting appears to be brass, no metal content marks noted. It does have the marks AB on it. Maybe a grade mark, or possibly artist initials This has a unique locking bar pin that allows us to date it. It is a reverse safety catch, so you move the catch in the opposite direction to lock from modern pins. These were handmade circa 1890-1920. Cameo does show some tarnish as shown, to be expected. We do not polish antiques. That would be at your discretion. Comes in a velvet gift box.
