Antique Sterling Silver Italian Cameo Rare Woman and Horse Hand carved Shell Brooch F221

This pretty and rare  cameo is set in a light weight sterling silver filigree setting. Overall size is about 1.6 x 1.3 inch. Nice size for a Brooch. Subject is very unique. Woman with a horse in the background. I have never seen one like it, may be a one off design, well carved, attractive. Shell itself seems to be near flawless. The pin back is an early hand made safety catch, These were made between 1890 and 1920.  Latch operates, be aware this style works in the opposite direction to lock then modern catches. Just takes a minute to get used to.  Sterling is stamped on the frame. I consider this a collectors piece . Comes gift boxed.
