You are buying this set of 11 buttons. They seem to be in pretty good shape. Note there is some slight discoloration on a couple of the centers. Not sure if it is just a little paint fade, I was thinking these centers might be celluloid so that might account for it. Size id about 1/2 inch.
Why Collectors Love Them Today
Sets of matching 19th-century buttons in good condition are increasingly rare. Collectors and historical costumers prize pieces with cut steel accents for their historic charm, craftsmanship, and light-capturing quality:
Rarity: Complete or semi-complete sets (such as this set of 11) are difficult to find, as buttons were often separated or lost over time.
Mixed Media Charm: The blend of metallic cut steel borders with soft, detailed floral centers makes them standout additions to any button card, shadow box, or vintage collection.
Versatility: Beyond collecting, these original antique pieces are favored by artisan jewelers for upcycling into rings, pendants, and earrings, as well as by re-enactors seeking period-accurate detailing.
