Classic 5 ice pick flower design. Deep blue with pink, green frit on bottom. I have always called this a perfume bottle and held it in that part of my collection. Recently I saw someone selling this style as teardrop or tear bottle used as keepsake or portion urns such as ashes or tears, a lock of hair, a prayer, or earth from a special place shared with a loved one (such as a beach, a park, the family farm or vacation cabin). I actually thought that would be a great use for the item if you wanted it for something other then just decorative display. This bottle was made by Prestige Art Glass in 1997.
Jeff and Carol Ball started Prestige Art Glass in 1990 in Elwood IN, Apparently Jeff a tinsmith decided to make a career change when the chance came to purchase Joe St Clairs equipment at an auction after he passed away. I also came across a notation that indicated Carol had worked for Joe Rice in his glass house for awhile. As I have noted before you see lots of the same designs coming out of American glass houses because a lot of them were all linked and connected through family location and workers. Unfortunately it appears Carol has recently passed, but her husband Jeff Ball appears to be carrying on her legacy in Elwood. This bottle measures 6 inches high, 3.5 inches across. Condition is excellent, I rate "near new" I may have actually bough this new I can not recall. Nice piece.
