Size on the vase is about 5.5 inches in height. Condition is excellent. The rim has some wear on the gold leaf of the rim. Please continue reading for my thoughts on that. I have looked at a lot of listings on ebay with this style vase. There are a lot of newer what I would call lower end copies of this style. While I am not passing myself off as an expert on this style I believe this vase is the real deal and has good age to it. . I am an art glass collector and I am selling off some of the things I have acquired so I am open to hearing other experts on the subject. Please feel free to offer me any specifics if you know them. I bought this at an auction years ago. It is unsigned. The things that strike me about this vase over what I think of as the cheaper copies is simply the amount of detail on this one. There is simply a lot more going on, a lot more work was involved to produce this piece. There are 36 areas cut to green, that is a lot. In addition note the amount of gold detailing. Another unusual aspect is the enameled flowers in all the large windows. We also notice the lower windows, the glass is cut to a diamond pattern. To top off my investigation look at the gold wear on the rim. I have number of very old pieces and this is typical, what you would expect. If it looked perfect I would suspect a fraud. Anyway, that is my pitch and why I bought the piece. For your consideration.
