Mixed 40x30mm Cabochons.  If you are familiar with our shop you know we sell a lot of cabochons. Unlike a lot of suppliers we sort through our product fairly stringently. Because of the nature of real stones there is a lot of variation in terms of color, calibration and texture. We have to deal with a lot of chipping, pitting and some imperfections in various stones. As such we accumulate a lot of product that does not get sold as single pieces. These get set aside for one reason or another.  Remember Rudolf the red nose reindeer and the island of misfit toys? Well same idea here. There must be someone that wants the stone that will not fit in a setting, the rhodonite that has no pink in it, surface imperfections, dyed stones that came out the wrong color. I know if we still made jewelry ourselves we would use all these stones in some way. Maybe they need to be wire wrapped in some free form way. Maybe a rugged piece is perfect for some natural and earthy looking jewelry. In the hands of some of our talented and creative customers I am sure these stones can find a home.
