40x30mm Vintage German Glass Intaglio Woman Cameo Cabochon J110

This is an Intaglio. The design itself is cut into the glass from the back. This is a clear glass piece so the design is then painted to stand out. The edges of this are faceted and beveled to the front and the back. Quite thick measuring about 9mm. About the same thickness as a gemstone. Not going to work in all settings. Prong settings and wire wrapping are a good choice.  A vintage piece no longer being produced. Made in Germany,
