70mm 2.75 inch French Barrette Auto Lock Style Made in France Copy. Read Description. S4107

As many of my customers are aware the company DELSOL that produced "MADE IN FRANCE" auto lock barrettes is no longer making them.  We have been looking for an alternative.  This is the barrette we are now offering as a substitute for high quality French barrettes. We think it meets the objective. It is very close to an identical copy as far as I can discern. When comparing the original with the copy, see photo, the only thing noticeable is the rivet holes are a bit larger on the copy. I measure them at 3mm. Personally we have always glued these but I would think a larger hole might be beneficial in attaching.  This barrette uses the same auto lock design with a 2 piece construction. This is where the tension bar (thing that holds the hair) is punched out of the top of the barrette. Cheap barrettes usually have 3  pieces with a loose tension bar that often falls out. This barrette is made in Asia, but so are iphones so not all things have quality issues.  These do not have any words stamped on them. My feeling is the quality of the clip will live up to the French brand.  I do not see any other options moving forward at this time.  Happy to hear feedback on them.
