I consider this a large paperweight. Not sure what the actual definition of magnum is but this is close, maybe not quite as big as those doorstop paperweights you see. Weight is 2.7LBS, Size is 4 inches across, 3 inches tall. The maker of this is unknown. Not signed. If I were to make a guess I would say it came from the USA, West Virginia, Jersey or Ohio, It is kind of a weird one. The bottom is heavily ground down, they took a lot of glass off and it is fairly rough. The artist concept was the butterfly is sitting on a flower. The wings and flower are done in frit. Covered in a very precise controlled bubble. Condition: Overall very good shape, on one side there is a little cluster of marks. You can't feel them and will have to examine to really see them not very significant. There is what looks like a 1 inch scratch running up from the base..IT IS NOT A SCRATCH. When examined with a magnifying glass you can clearly see is it is a line of very small bubbles in the glass. It was made that way. Age: Again a guess, 1960's would be mine but I really do not know.
